Brand New Custom Home With Sport-Court

Custom Home in Potomac Maryland - Kitchen

Kitchen

Our clients loved their Potomac, Maryland neighborhood. They were very happy with the nearby public schools that their three sons attended, and they considered their neighbors to be close friends. They didn’t want to move. However, their home was outdated and the layout was not conducive to the needs of a growing family.

After much research, they determined that they were not going to get their desired results by remodeling their existing home. What they truly wanted was a brand-new custom home where their older home stood, with all of the features and amenities that were on their wish list. After interviewing several homebuilders, they decided that Meridian Homes would be the best fit for them.

We were thrilled to help our new clients realize their dream of a new custom home! The family moved to a temporary home while we demolished the existing structure and built a lovely new home in its place. Number one on the wish list was a spacious, open kitchen and breakfast area. A butler’s pantry was the transitional space between the kitchen and a large dining room. New bathrooms throughout the home were a pleasant upgrade from the outdated, small bathrooms to which they were accustomed. Since some of the children in the family had significant allergies, we suggested hardwood flooring instead of carpeting throughout most of the home, including in the bedrooms. A mudroom with custom built-in lockers organized all of the boys’ gear and kept it out of the main living areas.  A basement with a kitchen and large rec room was high on the list of priorities so that the entire family could spend time together in a fun and relaxing space. The piece-de-resistance was the outdoor sport court where the boys’ could spend hours playing with their friends!
