Our clients wanted to live in a specific area in Bethesda, so we found the perfect lot for their new custom home and began a highly collaborative design process to make their vision a reality. The result is a lovely shingle-style home with over 6,300 square feet of living space and sophisticated finishes that suit their family perfectly.
The main level has an open-concept design that allows each space to flow into another. Throughout the home, a light, crisp, neutral palette contrasts with the dark hardwood floors to create a sophisticated yet welcoming feel. The waterfall-style island and glossy subway-tile backsplash add modern touches to the kitchen that opens to a breakfast room. The family room has a gorgeous coffered ceiling and custom built-ins on either side of an oversized gas fireplace. A soaring staircase leading to the upper level features custom-panel wainscoting and a modern chandelier. The master suite includes a large spa-like bathroom with striking, geometric tile and elegant finishes in calming neutral tones.
